Locomotive Mountain
Our second summer summit was Locomotive Mountain, which is just North of Pemberton. We hiked up Saturday afternoon and setup camp for the night just below Locomotive Mountain. Sunday morning we woke up early and hiked/scrambled up the snowy mountain and made at the peak just in time for lunch. It was a tough ascent but completely worth it!
On the way down our crampons and ice axes came proved to be worth every penny. I had a moment where I slipped on a steep (but not too long) slope and the axe saved me from slipping all the way down! Tom also had a few slippery moments but we both made it without any cuts or bruises = success!
