Labour Day Weekend on the Sunshine Coast
We went on a little roadtrip to the Sunshine Coast with our friends Ariel, Sarah, Katie and Nathan. We drove all the way up to Lund and spent some time kayaking the tip of Desolation Sound, which is THE place to kayak in Canada. We saw tons of starfish and at one point there were jellyfish everywhere! Katie had brought along her trusty net and caught the jellyfish! It turns out they're hard and not jelly like. Late on Sunday night we went for a walk to the ocean and the ocean was completely lite up! We were all in complete awe and completely freaked out by our discovery of the glowing fish. After Katie took out her net and tried to catch the fish is when we discovered that it wasn't the fish that were glowing, it was the water - it was phytoplankton!
